Eligibility Guidelines
ELIGIBILITY guidelines for grants by dmacf
The primary mission of DMACF is to respond to the needs not being met by others. It examines its grant-making in light of the activities of other grantmakers in the community. It encourages applicants to explore other available funding sources and to collaborate with other organizations addressing similar needs.
The Foundation does not make grants to individuals or for political or partisan purposes. Churches and religious organizations are very rarely funded. It seeks to meet the long-term needs of the community rather than needs of individual organizations. Grant requests for ongoing operating expenses will not usually be considered.
The Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of age, national origin, race, religion or sex, nor does it make grants to organizations that do. The Foundation accepts applications twice a year: April 1st and October 1st. Notification will be made around the middle of May and November.
